April 25, 2015 - GroundSchool iOS issues - We recently updated our GroundSchool series of test prep apps for iPhone and iPad. The updates, which are intended to update the content and make some usability improvements, are now available via iTunes. Unfortunately, while these updated apps work fine for the vast majority of users and have passed both our internal testing and the very stringent testing that Apple does of any new release (including on dozens of simulated and actual devices), it seems that about 5% or so of users are experiencing significant crash or "blank data" related issues with this new version. We sincerely apologize to those experiencing problems. We are doing everything that we can, using our full team, to address the issues and get a further updated version as soon as possible.

Again, words cannot express how sorry we are for this situation and we hope we can ask for your patience and understanding We thought we did everything right including putting the app through thorough internal testing.   We thank you greatly for your understanding and patience and assure you that the whole team is working through the night to try to fix this and to get an updated version to apple for expedited review as soon as possible.  Thank you again for your patience and understanding, and again, our sincere apologies for the inconvenience.

Update: New version soon - we believe that we have fixed all outstanding issues. We're in the process now of testing these, compiling the updates, and sending them to the iTunes Appstore. We will ask Apple for an 'expedited' review of these to get the updated versions to you ASAP. We hope this won't be more than a couple of days but it depends on apple's review schedule.
Further Update: Fixed versions now uploaded to AppStore -just waiting for Apple to OK them - We have now fully fixed and tested the affected apps and have uploaded them to AppStore. They will be available as soon as apple approves them. We have asked them for an expedited review. Thank you again for your patience and understanding! Once Apple approves them, they will be availble via "app store" icon on your iPhone/iPad (an indication will pop up there telling you an update is available).
More Good News - The good folks at Apple are acting on our expedited review requests and our most critical titles are now listed as "in review." With some luck, this may mean that they will be available imminently (hopefully within a few hours or at least sometime today). Fingers Crossed! Update: most of the key fixed apps are now approved by apple and are now or will very soon be available for download.
Some bad news, some good news - and us asking you for your understanding once again It seems that the fix we uploaded before worked for most, but not all people. Specifically, it did not work for those of you who have newer, 64-bit devices such as the latest iPads. We have now fixed this and are uploading a fix to appstore AGAIN.

Let's give you a little sense of why this bug has persisted: it seems that there is a bug in Apple's development tools, Apple's test suite available to developers, AND in the test suite that Apple itself uses to check apps for AppStore (it's probably a common bit of Apple's code common to all three). We have worked intensively with Apple and they have agreed that it is a major oversight in their tools and testing regime. While we have a number of physical testing devices here, all of them are 32-bit, hence we didn't see this on our tests. Apple is rushing to fix things on their end; meanwhile, we are also uploading yet another new version that goes around the issue entirely. Again, our most sincere and heartfelt apologies and we ask if you continue to be affected if you could just hang on just a bit longer. If you are affected, and have a PC or Mac, please contact us and tell us exactly which title you have and we can offer you a complimentary copy of the equivalent PC or Mac title to tide you over in the meanwhile.

How much does it cost?
Category: AirCards

Question / Issue:
How much does a copy cost?

The price varies by aircraft, but it is very reasonable. For the prices, see the AirCards order page. When you buy AirCards, you buy a single-user, nontransferaible license to one aircraft. You can of course buy more than one, but each one must be purchased separately.

The prices for the aircraft vary not only because of the differing amounts of specialized expertise that went into creating each bank, but also because the size and scope of the banks varies as well. Some are fairly comprehensive systems reviews, while others are more quick limitations and key systems memorization aids. To make sure that you're happy, the best thing to do is to download the demo version of AirCards for the aircraft you are interested in and try it. Remember, each demo version has about 5% of the total number of questions enabled. Registering / Unlocking / Buying (they all mean the same thing) unlocks the remaining 95% of the questions.

When you purchase AirCards, unless otherwise authorized by us, you are purchasing a single-user, nontransferable license to the software. We offer free lifetime updates AND we let you install this on more than one machine (for example, your desktop and your laptop) as long as you promise that it is for your own PERSONAL study and use only. In exchange for these generous terms, we ask that you hold up your end of the bargain by directing your friends and colleagues to purchase their OWN copy of AirCards. We hope you can find this to be fair.
